This is my second TOURMASTER jacket, the first being a Draft Air mesh jacket. Both are excellent products and I’m very happy with them. The mesh jacket has served me well in the hot climate where I travel by motorcycle (Venezuela). The Denim jacket was chosen as a second, more “city like” style for daily wear (I conmute by motorcycle daily).
The denim jacket is beautiful and fits me perfectly, the CE protection on elbows and shoulders is excellent, it’s the same the Draft Air jacket has. I have already learned from experience how important such protection can be: a dog crossed my path unexpectedly and I went down with the bike during my first trip wearing the Draft Air jacket . The jacket saved my left shoulder from impact and my left forearm from abrasion, so I can say without a doubt that the $80 I paid for the mesh jacket was very cheap insurance indeed.
Going back to the DSX Denim jacket: I chose the “black” version, whis is actually not black but a darker shade of jean. The jacket has plenty of pockets and air vents, and although it isn’t as airy as the mesh jacket, I can still use it daily in the hot weather of Caracas, Venezuela. It comes with a zippable inner liner which may be called in use when the temperature drops. I can also use this liner with the mesh jacket (no liner included with the Draft Air).
In my opinion this is an excellent product, both in terms of quality and good looks. In fact it’s a lot of product for the $90 price tag (plus $10 shipping). Two of my riding buddies have announced they will be buying the same jacket! (ouch!)
I feel I can recomend this product without hesitation to anyone looking for a good, nice-looking, not-too-expensive riding jacket with CE protection. Bravo TOURMASTER, keep it up.
